Studying for her Masters in Child Development, Lucy is the only person who can exercise authority over the club. Appropriately for the President Lucy is also in a romance with the outdoors and can be caught in questionable situations with it daily. So if you ever need someone to get you off your sedentary arse, make friends with this Queen.

Striding ahead of the pack, this sonic of the mountains is an absolute unit. She is believed to be the fastest hiker in the club, but although Darci can put distance between herself and problems faster than anyone, her speed is mated with perhaps the most determined personality in Ben Lairig . . . so we fall behind . . . a lot.

After making himself homeless for Summer, Vardy bunked in the President's house and procrastinated unpacking the entire month. This unquestionably makes him the ideal, organised and reliable candidate for club secretary. Jokes aside, he's a good egg and we’re looking forward to spending the year with him. P.S: Tom worked at Clarks, where he learnt the bizarre skill of knowing your shoe size purely by looking at your feet, so if you need any help with boots he's your man.

Ben vanished for a year in industry, so you might think 'who the hell is this guy? How is he on the committee?', but last year Ben was in fact the club’s webmaster and with zero effort (and Joe’s help) we came away with a snazzy good lookin' website. Ben is a super chill guy and if he doesn’t spend all his time clubbing, we'll have bought out the Alps by Christmas.
Our trip secs are the engines of the club. These folks organise all our trips, so make friends if you have a bucket list to tick off. As a tradition we make them breakfast in bed when we’re on a trip they’ve organised. Sorting out a meet is a stressful job and without these guys there would be no club!
York’s most reliable fun-dealers. Charlotte and Pete, both doctorate students, are the grandparents of the club and completely live up to expectations as our social secs. If you have any great ideas for an evening out let these folks know, but don’t bet on trumping their own shenanigans.
Our gear sec manages the club stores, maintaining our equipment and keeping track of hires. All members can borrow stuff out for free, but return them promptly or you’ll be chased down by this angry Italian.
With mountaineering being as diverse as it is, Ben Lairig has a few ‘ordinary’ handy-men to get stuff done during our busier trips and pick up the odd jobs. They don’t have a specific responsibility, but they’re just as important as the rest of the committee.
